Online Ikebana Class conducted via Microsoft teams
Only for continuing students who have a Sogetsu Textbook 1・2 , 3・4, or 5.
Please prepare the following items:
- Plant materials (flowers and branches) to use to create your arrangement… Most grocery stores including QFC, Safeway, Trader Joes, and Metropolitan Market sell a few varieties of flowers. Choose what you like but be sure that it is appropriate for the lesson you are working on.
- Container or vase… A low-rise container that has some depth for a Moribana arrangement; a tall vase for a Nageire arrangement
- Pair of scissors for cutting plant stems with
- Small bowl for cutting stems underwater
- Small Towel to periodically wipe water off your scissors so that it won’t rust.
- Kenzan if you are working on a Moribana arrangement
- Computer or mobile device with a camera for the Teams meeting… It is recommended that you download Microsoft Teams app on your computer or device. You can still participate in the class via web browser.
